(Note we will not be meeting on October 8, Thanksgiving Day)

What is it?

Our Parish will be holding a short bible study known as "A Biblical Walk Through the Mass" with discussion and 30 minute easy to understand dvd presentations by Dr Edward Sri. Dr Sri is a wonderful scripture scholar and teacher who loves the mass and the Catholic faith. It is only five sessions long and should help in developing a stronger love and understanding of both the Eucharist and the Bible.

So Why Come?
As Catholics the Mass is the center of our Faith. So often the formulaic prayers and responses of the Mass can become mundane and mechanical instead of the magnificent way of talking with and worshiping God that it is intended to be. Many of us have been to Mass since we were born but do know what all the gestures and responses actually mean or the significant amount of biblical scriptures that are interwoven into the Mass! Just about every prayer and response comes directly from, or is alluded to, within the pages the Holy Scripture. This study will help you develop a more intricate understanding of the bible in the context of something that we participate in regularly, the Holy Mass.

Cost: The cost of the materials is $20, which includes the student workbook and the easy to understand book by Dr Sri that the study is based on. If the cost for a student is prohibitive of them coming, please let us know.
