About Us

Mission of the UCCC

“To be with Christ, and to be sent out.”  (Mark 3:14)

The University of Calgary Catholic Community (UCCC) provides a presence within the University setting intended to enable students, faculty, and staff, along with the support of the community at large, to share their faith and to foster a lived commitment to their Roman Catholic Christian heritage.

To encourage students toward active participation, thereby training them for leadership, not only in their church but also in society.

To be of service spiritually and personally to those who are in need.

To gather regularly to celebrate our common spiritual heritage, founded on the basis of love for all of humanity.

How can I get involved in the UCCC?

The UCCC exists because everyone works together to make things happen. We have an official sign-up for committees and ministries in September, but you can join in at any time. There are also many opportunities to volunteer throughout the year:

  • UCCC Student Council
  • Music Ministry
  • Men's/Women's Nights
  • Liturgical Ministry
  • Social Justice Committee
  • RCIA Team
  • or just about any other area where you are gifted!
