If you have FOMO, don't miss this parish mission!
A renowned #medianuns, Sr Helena Burns, fsp is a prolific Theology of the Body speaker and Writer/Director of the Media Apostle - The Fr. James Alberione Story. On Feb. 4-6, 2018, Sr. Helena will be at St. Michael’s for a Parish Mission on the topic of how to be a missionary in today’s digital world.
The first media evangelization people receive from us Catholics is how we use media personally. The way we use media personally will speak the Gospel (or not) louder than the way we use it professionally.
Even if we've "kept up" with technology, have we taken the time to formulate a plan, a strategy, a vision,or a spirituality for a more intentional use of media?
We will discuss how to help ourselves, our families, our youth, friends, and colleagues to witness to Christ and the dignity of the human person by the way we choose to use these "marvelous gifts" of digital, new and social media. If we're Catholic and connected, that makes us "Digital Catholics." But how do we become "good digital Catholics"? If "everything is ours and we are Christ's and Christ is God's" (1 Corinthians 3:23)--how do we make media work for us and not against us?
